Phatsimo Moeti-Joel holds an MSc in Strategic Management from the University of Derby, UK and a BA degree in Economics and Environmental Science obtained from the University of Botswana. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College as well as certifications in ISO 45000 (OHSAS 18000), ISO 14001, and ISO9001. Phatsimo has a comprehensive work experience in Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Risk, and Quality field, spanning from Non-Government organizations, Mining, and the Oil and Gas industry
Phatsimo’s career commenced in 2004 at Boteti Sub District, Department of Water & Wastewater and in 2005 she joined Tshole Trust as Environmental Project Officer. In 2007 She joined BCL Mine as SHE Officer. Phatsimo’s career in the Oil and Gas industry began in 2008 when she was appointed Health Environment & Safety Specialist at Chevron (Caltex) Botswana 2008. In 2010, she took up the role of HSSE Manager for Shell Oil Botswana which later transited to Vivo Energy Botswana.
Phatsimo joined Botswana Oil Limited in February 2014 and is currently the Senior Manager - HSSEQ and Risk.
Phatsimo enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and a healthy active lifestyle.
Phatsimo is married and has three children.
