Botswana Oil Limited this past weekend was in Boteti District for the annual Orapa Diamond Golf Challenge as a sponsor and participated in the tournament. The fourth installment of the Orapa Diamond Golf Challenge (ODGC) officially started on the 22nd of September with a seminar, running in parallel with an exhibition and the two-day Golf tournament which featured Botswanaโs best golf professionals, amateurs, and junior golfers.

This event provides a platform for companies to raise funds with the goal of making a positive socio-economic impact in Boteti, with a particular focus on vulnerable and underprivileged persons.

The Golf Challenge also presents the opportunities to network with Debswana as BOLโs key strategic partner considering the ongoing citizen economic empowerment contract. As a good corporate citizen, BOL values such a platform since it contributes towards positively impacting the lives of the people in areas within which it operates. BOL hosted various stakeholders at its stall where business opportunities to venture into the oil and gas industry were discussed and some were learning about the BOL mandate, how they can participate in the value chain and how the company contributes to Botswanaโs Economic transformation.
